Kansas Cowboy Dressage Association

Julie Vosberg, KCDA President

Julie has been involved with horses with since she was a 4-Her living in rural Oregon. As a kid she competed in gymkhana events, showmanship and horsemanship.
She purchased her first reining horse more than 15 years ago and finished in the NRHA Limited Non-Pro Top Ten during her last year of showing. She took a break from reining in search of becoming a better rider and even more importantly, a better horseman. She competed in western dressage in 2012 but moved to Cowboy Dressage because "I'm still in love with westerns, cowgirls, cowboys and a great horses."

Rachel Zenger, KCDA Secretary

Rachel Zenger grew up showing horses through 4-H, open shows, and state-level breed shows. Rachel's partner in dressage is a 2007 paint gelding transitioning from APHA western showing. They are both much happier since meeting the founding officers of the KCDA in 2010, and still keep some "cowboy" in their dressage by chasing the occasional calf on the north-central Kansas ranch they call home.

Joan Stibal, Board of Directors

I have been entranced with horses ever since I can remember and began riding in grade school when I lived in Montana. No lessons, no shows, just the open horizon to ride to by myself or with friends. We played real cowboys and Indians with a miniature stagecoach, real half-wild Indian ponies and one great, honest gelding with a heart of gold. Moving to Kansas, I rode cutting horses at the Bar S Ranch in Eureka, Kan., on as many weekends as I could. I showed reiners for a number of years and last year started studying western/cowboy dressage. My passion is in becoming a better rider and partner to my great horse, Leo Fritzs Baby Boots, and showing what she is capable of in any discipline.
