Anita Riesinger is a longtime sidesaddle enthusiast and second daughter of the late Lillian Chaudhary. Lillian was a saddle maker and one of the world’s most respected builders and restorers of sidesaddles. Anita began riding aside at the age of 13, and by the age of 15, she was the Junior Representative for the California Side Saddle Organization. Being drawn more towards education than competition, Anita coordinated sidesaddle clinics in 1997 and 1998 hosted by the famed Jack Tone Ranch (breeders of the influential Fadjur line of Arabian horses), after Lillian restored Marge Tone’s vintage sidesaddle. Anita is a certified Judge/Instructor/Clinician with the American Sidesaddle Association. After supporting the sidesaddle organizations booths at Equine Affaire Columbus and Pomona, Anita raised funds, organized volunteers, rode in the demo and manned the sidesaddle both at the 2002 Western States Horse Expo. Since Lillian’s passing, Anita has made it a point to honor her mother’s memory by sharing her time and sidesaddle knowledge, and to encourage others in their journey to becoming familiar with sidesaddles in various capacities.
New for Trifecta 2024
New for Gathering and Finals 2024. You can now pick your team of 3 for the Trifecta Competition. It is no longer a “draw” for teams. You are encouraged to celebrate your team with a theme. You may also compete on multiple teams but must be on a different horse for each team. This is going to be fun competition.
New Progressive Barn Party Thursday Pm October 9th
This year we will be offering a Progressive Barn Party. Join in on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. Walk the barn aisles and enjoy food prepared by our barn groups (or individuals). This will be a great time of fun and camaraderie If you are interested in participating, please contact Bevmeyers@outlook.com
New Stall Decorating Contest for Gathering and Finals 2024
CDW just keeps adding more fun for our “tribe.” 2024 Gathering and Finals will be offering a stall decorating contest. The sky is the limit so show us what you got.
A $100 gift certificate to the local Mexican Restaurant – El Gallo will be given to the best decorated stall.
New Dessert Social for Gathering and Finals Friday Oct 10.

2024 Volunteers needed for Gathering and Finals
As always CDW needs Volunteers for the 2024 Gathering and Finals. We need scribes, gate attendants, and runners. We will schedule around your ride times and you can earn volunteer bucks that can be applied to next year’s CDW shows (May and Finals 2025).

Silent Auction Items Needed.
Silent Auction/Raffle – We will once again be having our Silent Auction. You may drop your items off at the show office. There will also be some larger gift baskets that will be auctioned off. Raffle tickets can be pre-purchased on the entry form or at the show office. This is always a fun feature and some great items for horse lovers.
