CDW Educational DayFriday, March 20, 2020 4:00 p.m. in Arena 3 Cowboy Dressage with Balance, Bend, and Straightness, with Sherrill Shotigian-RossIn Cowboy Dressage we like our horses to bend well, be flexible, and also exhibit straightness. Circles will require your horse to develop a great deal of strength in his back and hindquarters— in fact, in his entire body. In order to travel correctly around a turn or circle, your horse must bend his body through his rib cage, rather than simply turn his nose to the inside. We desire straightness for many reasons, but mainly to ensure bilateral balance in the horse. It takes time to develop the balance and strength necessary to do any of these maneuvers well. Sherrill will be giving you some tips on riding the Cowboy Dressage court with precision and help you get your Cowboy Dressage dreams headed in the right direction.
A Heart Felt “THANK YOU” to our Generous SponsorsWithout their support and commitment to Cowboy Dressage our shows would not be possible. If you see them at the Show please tell them “thanks.”
