Linda Kaye Jones

Linda Kaye is a thinking horsewoman.  After years of showing in stock horse events she asked herself, “Is this it? There has to be more!” So began her quest to find effective and kind methods to educate high level performance horses.  Study of natural style horsemanship methods brought understanding of the essence of the horse.  The discovery of Philippe Karl’s Ecole de Légerèté (School of Lightness) both transformed Linda’s methods while confirming her doubts about some of the current trends in horse training.  She is one of 15 initial riders accepted into the first of Mr. Karl’s teacher’s courses held in the United States.  In July of 2013 she began intensive training sessions 3 times per year with licensed instructor Bertrand Ravoux of Etoile-sur-Rhône, France, and will continue as she pursues her goal of becoming one of the first licensed instructors outside of Europe.

Renaissance dressage techniques from the birth of academic horsemanship (like the Ecole de Légèreté) provide structure and clarity for Linda’s work.  Studying, utilizing and promoting these kind, proven, and effective methods has brought Linda’s horsemanship to an entirely new level. She enjoys sharing her discoveries with horses of all breeds and people from all disciplines.  Cowboy Dressage, in particular,  has offered a wonderful venue for Linda and her students to put their learning “to the test” in a welcoming and warm environment.  She will be riding Nabor’s Gray Tandolyn, a 14 year old Arabian gelding owned by Amanda Horton.  www.willowgroveidaho.com
