My name is Melissa Michaels, I have been riding since before I could walk. My mother Debi Michaels, who is an amazing horsewoman herself, initially taught me how to ride. I have since then ridden with jumper trainers, working cow horse trainers, and was an assistant for a classical dressage trainer. Not to be forgotten are all of the horses I have had the pleasure of working with, both good and bad, over the years. Horses themselves are some of the best trainers out there if you learn to listen to them and they have made me the rider I am today. The horse I will be riding is my Morgan stallion Apple Pi Dallas Magic. He truly is a great example of the Morgan breed when it comes to versatility. I have shown him in pleasure classes both western and hunter, dressage, jumpers, and at local cow horse shows and he excels at all of it. I think cowboy dressage takes everything that the two of us have worked at and puts it all together. We look forward to competing with all of the other talented teams in the Top Hand.
