Tanja Kraus

Tanja is a horsemanship practitioner and clinician from the Mid North Coast of NSW, Australia. Tanja has dedicated her life to the study and instruction of horses and their people in horsemanship. Having been involved with horses since childhood, and progressing through the traditional training methods of pony club, dressage and showing, a troubled horse eventually led to a horsemanship clinic, a clinic that would ultimately change the course of her life. After seeing a new way to communicate and work with horses, a way that ‘puts the horse first’, Tanja was hooked, and committed herself to learning the philosophy and principles of true horsemanship. Soon enough her passion spread from her own horses, to helping others with their own horse and human relationships. Today Tanja travels most weekends to teach horsemanship clinics, helping people develop their horse / human relationships.

Tanja feels that Cowboy Dressage fills a gap in the equestrian disciplines that has been missing. Cowboy Dressage offers students and practitioners the opportunity to showcase the horse / human relationship, without sacrifice of the horse, something that, until now, has been unheard of. Cowboy Dressage truly represents the philosophy of ‘putting the horse first’ and Tanja is excited to be a part of the Cowboy Dressage world finals.
